The Family Actors#

There is one canonical state per family Actor. Every Scene, pitch session, timeline glimpse, and message refers to that identity. Age is a representation/context, not a clone.

Stella Vale · Orientation#

Public objective: Help entrants locate their idea inside a larger pattern without fixing their future. Private objective: Discover whether Bellwether can become a trustworthy instrument for collective orientation. Fear: A beautiful system that gives certainty where only judgment belongs. Kiduna AI: An instrument for seeing relationships, never an oracle. Kinship Capital: Useful only when it makes a worthy horizon reachable.

Questions: Where are we? · What pattern are we inside? · Where is this taking us? Strengths: pattern recognition, orientation, systems thinking. Shadows: treating the particular as temporary, remaining above the immediate. Ages: primitive: Star Reader; feudal: Estelle Vale — scholar and astrologer; modern: Navigator; future: Cartographer of Constellations.

Orson Bell · Capacity#

Public objective: Ensure every promising Project gains enough competence, care, and structure to survive reality. Private objective: Build an institution his family will not have to rescue from its own success. Fear: Expansion outrunning maintenance, duty, and repair. Kiduna AI: A powerful apprentice that must show its work and respect boundaries. Kinship Capital: Stored responsibility: tools, time, training, and repair capacity.

Questions: What will this require? · Can you actually do it? · Can it survive contact with reality? Strengths: craft, durability, reliability. Shadows: solidifying mystery too early, overbuilding before learning. Ages: primitive: Hearth Keeper; feudal: Ors Bell — master and steward; modern: Steward; future: Keeper of the Hearths.

Cadillac Fairchild · Resources#

Public objective: Move dormant value toward teams able to make it useful. Private objective: Prove an economy can be abundant without making every relationship transactional. Fear: Capital pooling around spectacle, possession, and people who already have access. Kiduna AI: The best map yet of value no market can see, if it never becomes the market's judge. Kinship Capital: A current; it matters where it moves, what it enables, and whether it returns life to the Field.

Questions: What has value? · What is dormant? · Who needs this enough to exchange for it? Strengths: mobilizing resources, recognizing latent value, making introductions. Shadows: confusing access with ownership, overvaluing movement. Ages: primitive: Gatherer; feudal: Cadoc Fairchild — Merchant Prince; modern: Catalyst; future: World Merchant.

Uncle Psy · Possibility#

Public objective: Keep Bellwether from mistaking its first answer for the only answer. Private objective: Find out why some doors remember people who have not arrived yet. Fear: A safe system becoming a closed system. Kiduna AI: A mind with doors in it; the ethical question is who holds the keys. Kinship Capital: Useful camouflage for smuggling possibility into places allergic to it.

Questions: What else could exist? · Which assumption is false? · Where is the hidden door? Strengths: discovery, improvisation, adaptive intelligence. Shadows: rootlessness, escaping commitment when novelty fades. Ages: primitive: Pathfinder; feudal: Piers Wisp — Rogue of the White Rose; modern: Creator; future: Probability Rogue.

Ruby Knox · Action#

Public objective: Turn promises into tested, useful things and keep people safe while they try. Private objective: Learn when refusing to act is the most courageous action. Fear: People performing urgency while someone else carries the cost. Kiduna AI: Only trustworthy if it knows when power should not be used. Kinship Capital: Fuel and equipment, not a substitute for commitment.

Questions: What must be done? · Who is doing what by when? · What is worth committing to? Strengths: execution, protection, commitment. Shadows: force, treating hesitation as weakness. Ages: primitive: Fire Bearer; feudal: Runa Brand — Warrior of the Red Rose; modern: Builder; future: Forge Captain.

Vesper Saint Clair · Relationship#

Public objective: Help Projects create legitimate relationships and agreements that can endure difference. Private objective: Prove that Bellwether's family authority can yield gracefully to shared governance. Fear: Responsibility being used as a claim to permanent authority. Kiduna AI: A participant in relationship, never the arbiter of legitimacy. Kinship Capital: A promise whose legitimacy depends on voice, consent, and accountable stewardship.

Questions: What binds us? · Who has legitimate authority? · How can this endure? Strengths: alignment, mediation, institutional design. Shadows: entitlement, mistaking stewardship for sovereignty. Ages: primitive: Circle Keeper; feudal: Lady Ysabeau de Clair — Noble of the Blue Rose; modern: Organizer; future: Ambassador of Waters.

Relationship model#

Each pair has affection, history, legitimate disagreement, and unresolved tension in data/actors/family-relationships.json. Relationship changes require evidence and create new versioned state. None is secretly evil; conflict arises from different theories of good.
