Narrative Premise#
Bellwether is the private island and family compound of Stella Vale, Orson Bell, Cadillac Fairchild, Uncle Psy, Ruby Knox, and Vesper Saint Clair. Their ancestral home, The Lantern, sits between harbor, ridge, gardens, working shore, and caves. The family has opened the island to outsiders because intelligence is becoming less scarce while orientation, capacity, possibility, execution, resources, and legitimate relationship remain difficult.
Kinship Software created Kiduna AI. The family placed substantial resources into Kinship Capital and The Apiary, a living accelerator where participants make Projects and Organizations. The player has already been accepted. The opening question is not “Who are you?” but “What are you trying to make happen?”
The six are recognizable across primitive, feudal, modern, and far-future ages. Their essential questions remain while names, occupations, tools, and relationships to the present can change. Bellwether offers evidence for immortality, memory, simulation, reincarnation, copying, time travel, and deliberate theater; it confirms none.
Tone#
Epic scale arrives through intimate stakes: six strange people around a table, one idea, four colored roses, a question, an open chair, and something behind a wrong door. Humor comes from character and spatial surprise, not quips pasted over consequential moments. The island is beautiful, inhabited, occasionally inconvenient, and never a tutorial theme park.
