Pitch Room#
Contract#
The Pitch is a private, resumable Actor conversation whose output is an editable Pitch receipt, not a psychological profile. The player answers “What are you trying to make happen?” in speech, text, selected prompts, or by placing an Artifact. The six Actors adapt from a shared structured state.
Question policy#
- Extract provisional claims: desired change, people affected, evidence, constraints, resources, legitimacy, first executable step.
- Choose the family Actor whose essential question most reduces uncertainty or exposes material risk.
- Ask one short question. Do not chain three questions or paraphrase a prior one.
- Accept “I don’t know,” disagreement, humor, or a counter-question as valid play.
- Stop at four questions minimum; stop earlier only if the player explicitly chooses a provisional result. Never exceed ten without offering a break.
Actor turns#
Stella locates horizon; Orson tests capacity; Cadillac tests value/resource movement; Psy challenges assumptions; Ruby asks for a near-term commitment; Vesper tests participation and legitimacy. Their questions can disagree. The system never forces consensus among them.
Receipt#
The receipt contains the player’s intention in their words, six structured claims with confidence/source, unresolved questions, four Orientation signals, and two first-quest options. The player can correct every claim. Confirmation writes the receipt and evidence provenance; raw conversation retention follows the selected consent.
Visual states#
Dormant → listening → Actor focus → evidence placed → mixed Compass response → provisional reveal → confirmed or disputed. No progress meter appears in the room. Reference: assets/reference/generated/pitch-room-concept.png.
