# Character and Entity Creation

Coherence creation compiles understandable choices into a reviewable draft profile.

## Input methods

| Method | Best use | Risk/control |
|---|---|---|
| Natural language | First intent and unusual concepts | Show interpretation and ask before publishing |
| Archetype/preset | Fast starting point | Preset is a draft; expose every target and source |
| Scenario choices | When behavior is easier than numbers | Use multiple scenarios and display inferred confidence |
| Comparative questions | Clarify ambiguous preferences | Avoid forced moralized choices |
| Card sorting | Select values/principles | Keep values separate from dimensions |
| Bipolar sliders | Fine tuning | Always show pole definitions and examples |
| Direct numeric entry | Expert/API use | Validate scale, range, Authority, and conflicts |

## Flow

1. Select entity type, Realm/context, purpose, controlling Authority, and privacy.
2. Describe desired behavior or choose an archetype.
3. Map statements to existing dimensions; propose a draft dimension only when no valid one exists.
4. Use scenario/comparison questions to resolve ambiguity.
5. Produce target points, tolerance ranges, and recommended zone thresholds with provenance.
6. Show concrete examples at target, low/high tolerance edges, and extremes.
7. Resolve inherited policies and surface every conflict.
8. Let the Source/governance edit or exclude dimensions.
9. Rehearse representative cases.
10. Publish through the correct Authority path.

For a Realm, governance and affected-participant disclosure are required. For an Avatar, use first-person aspiration language. For an Actor, include Action/tool scenarios and stop behavior. For an Ally, include Presence alignment scenarios.

Creation interfaces never require psychometric terminology. They translate between plain language and the inspectable profile; they do not hide the compiled result.
